1. Good Morning
   I have established a contemporary Christianity website to encourage thinking about the implications of following a faith in a changing world. There you will encounter more than one hundred articles on a range of topics including the interface of science and religion, some of the modern ethical and faith issues like coping with different belief systems, bioethics, homosexuality, abortion, the influences of culture on religion, climate change, whether or not prayer works, the ethics of whistle-blowing (Wikileaks), faith and the morality of economics etc etc. I am more interested in encouraging thoughtful discussion and debate, than in pushing a particular theological line. I have begun including sermons based on lectionary readings, guest articles from prominent contemporary scholars and have started to develop a humour section.
   I would appreciate your taking a look at the site which you would find at

   I have read you messages from ‘Mary Magdalene’…and they are lovely messages. Her personal story with Jeshua is a very profound one indeed. I wonder if you have been given information as well as to the untold truth about their personal relationship…for this, to me is one very powerful aspect of their story that has been removed from many teachings of this man. For more information you may see a book called ‘The Magdalene Manuscript, by Tom Kenyon & Judi Son…this exceptional book reveals many truths about the two, which religious leaders chose to emit for purposes of manipulation of their followers. Now with ancient texts surfacing many followers are simply confused and shocked at this new information, yet if view from a broader perspective, one can have a clearer understanding of his extraordinary life.    • Dear Jazi,
     You will just have to read my book, “Song of the Beloved” to get the answer to that question. Actually, the book is still in the works, and I cannot claim it is in anyway the authentic words of Mary Magdalene. As is the truth of every “sacred text” they are still received through the specific and unique lens of the recipient. As to Mary and Jesus’ personal and/or intimate relationship, I choose to be neutral. At the end of the day, it does not matter to me whether Mary and Jesus were “married” or “intimate” because it has no impact whatsoever on the heart of Jesus’ message. If Jesus was married and had children with Mary Magdalene, it may change our perspective on a mandated “celibate male priesthood,” but it has no bearing on Jesus’ teachings or message. The truth is the truth regardless of Jesus’ celibacy or lack thereof.

     Thanks for the recommendation of the “Magdalene Manuscript” book. I have read many books on Mary Magdalene and this is one I have not yet run across. I will definitely check it out. If you have not already done so, I highly recommend the writings of Jean Yves LeLoup! The Gospel of Mary is one of my alltime favorites!!!!
